So I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD pro unmodified and want to use some of its off-road features. Does anybody know of a place in Ohio where I could take the truck off-roading? I want something not too hard since I am new, and a place more like out west if possible. (Fairly open and rocky) I want to avoid tight trees and trails so I don't scratch the truck up. Also, a place that I could camp out would be great too!

I picked up my 2016 TRD off-road recently, I live in NE Ohio and have been looking for the same. From my light research, there isn't much in NE Ohio, or much in ohio in general. There seem to be scattered bits here and there, mostly in SE Ohio.

Did you ever find anything. I’m in the same boat. Just bought a Toyota trd off road and want to have some chill off road fun. Nothing crazy as want to enjoy the new look of it a bit :)
I’d even travel to another surrounding site if it’s a cool trail and camp.

There's a regional forum, too. Might try there, too.

Get yourself some all-terrain tires (i.e. BFG KO2's). Not *really* necessary at first, but I still don't understand why these 4x4s come with street tires, even the TRD Pros and street tread. :annoyed:

I don't know anything about Ohio, but if there is National Forest or BLM land around, get yourself some MVUMs (motor vehicle use maps) and just go drive. You can find a bunch of the maps online or at the ranger station. If it gets too technical, you can always turn around and go back.

I also really like the National Geographic "trails illustrated" map series. high quality maps printed on water proof paper. Very well annotated and illustrated. Not sure if they're in your area, but you can search around.
