Curious, how much does your local Toyota charge for oil change service?

Better check your transmission fluid level. Tech got confused and drained the transmission pan.

Moral of the story is don't leave anything in your truck that isn't bolted down.

Yep, there's no telling how many people pay extra for synthetic only to roll out of there with cheap conventional oil.

I change my own, that way I KNOW what's in it.

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
    What a dumb-ass!

It's reasons such as this, as to why I basically do all the maintenance myself on my Tacoma. "IF" I happen to "fuckup" then it's all on me. No way I'm letting some dumb-shit tech fuck up a basic elementary oil change on my truck.

Just earlier today I changed the oil, oil filter, cabin filter and engine filter on my 2008 Tacoma and yes I "always double check" myself afterwards.

Though believe me I've heard several horrific oil change stories told by other individuals, like how they really didn't change the oil!.....or did not actually change the oil filter!....put in the wrong oil weight, type, etc.!.......left the oil pan drain plug loose!.....put in the wrong oil filter!....putting in too much oil!.....etc., etc.

This does not just happen at dealerships, this also happens at those quick lube oil change places too, so keep that in mind.

I use local mom and pop owned shops to help with local small town revenue. The more local revenue, the less likely local taxes will go up. Food for thought.
