Ya the more time I spend at work the more money I make.

 

Unless you are on salary like I am and average 10 to 12 hrs a day. My rate per hour just continues to go down.

 

You guys are doing it wrong. I haven't worked an 8 hour day in years.

I really miss being hourly. Especially the OT. Instead, I get guilted into working more hours so that my per hour rate gets lower the more I work... which is especially f'd up.

 

If only I could make what I make now in less than an 8 hr day. I worked 30 hrs this weekend alone. The 40k garage I just bought is my new motivation.

We know you haven't. Especially when you post happy hour beer photos 5 days a week.

 

The OT will control your life though. It's hard to turn down the ablility to double your paycheck in 2 days.

 

I hear you! I know guys that got into trouble budgeting around OT and then the work dried up.

But at least when it's a fire drill and you're hourly, you can rest easy knowing you're making MORE per hour rather than less. And I'm more of a work-to-live guy, so it's even worse that way being salaried.

 

I miss the days of hourly pay and comp time.

 

OK. Something different than compressors and pay rates....

Took a trip to Dallas this weekend and one of my headlights had horrible condensation and is now completely fogged up. Need to replace it, and might as well replace the other while I'm at it. This was not in the budget, so looking for recommendations for a budget friendly headlight setup. Bonus would be BHLM

 

I'm fortunate that OT is not mandatory but it's almost always there when I want it. I'm constantly reminding myself work-to-live.

 

You could always use a compressor to blow out the condensation.

You just need to re-seal them. But why not just take them off and do BHLM while you are at it? Not too hard.

 

@Martyinco or @Ag63i2 or anyone have any good referrals for wood floor refinishers? Needs to be sanded down and varnished

 

Yea, we could give you an estimate after it is measured or I can see if some of our guys need side work
