    Finally coming all together :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

    No I don't. I was going to either get a better CB antenna because I have a Cobra 75wx st or some hand helds like we did in jambo

    Get both, upgrade CB antenna like a Lil Wil and get a BaoFeng handheld. It will do GRMS and if you ever get your ham it will do that too. Plus the battery life and range is crazy good.

    https://www.amazon.com/BaoFeng-BF-F...502765574&sr=1-2-spons&keywords=baofeng&psc=1

    I'll talk more about radios and your options when you get to my house, but you have lots of options and I can help you set up just about anything you want.

    I have both a CB and a BaoFeng, end up just turning the BaoFeng on and to the right freq so I can hear people on that. Have not been able to go take the test for the HAM, so have not messed with it much more. Don't see any harm in having it for listening purposes.

    Thought about paying for the GRMS license... but for the price of that, may as well study and get the HAM license.

    I'll probably get the antenna first and then the handheld. Sounds good I don't know too much about HAM other then you need a license for it.

    It's a reference to the TV show Rick and Morty. It's a dumb show but I love it.

    So ECGS doesn't sell assembled 3rd members for 3rd Gens. I emailed them about it and they said at the moment they don't plan to either.

    Not sure how much you guys have read about 3rd Gens but the 3.91 gears in the auto are still a bit high because of the 0.58 final drive of 6th gear. Most people seem pretty content with 33's and 35's with the 4.88's and I'm likely to do a 33 or 34 next time I decide to go bigger.

    This is the question:
    I've watched the videos, but have any of you actually setup gears before? Gotta learn some time, I'm not afraid to do the work if someone who's seen it done and has the tools can help. Probably looking to do this next year, or when these tires wear out and I go up a size.

    Never set them up before but I've done a ton of research on it. It doesn't seem super hard, just have to be super precise. Might be risky on a daily driver...I'm up for trying.

    The way I see it is we can save a TON of money and as far as precision, with quality tools by the 2nd job they will have paid for themselves. That, and I'm not adding arb lockers or anything, just ring, pinions, seals, bearings and assembly. I think we can do it in a day, or at least do the rear in a day and the front in another day.

    If only we had someone who has a spare Tacoma laying around who could use 37's, a flatbed built, and a Chevy 63 swap so we can do that person's gears....:)

    Hope you guys are enjoying your trip, did you see any eclipse action there?
