I have a 2000 tacoma 2.7L DOHC 2wd. I have no power to the fuel pump and after much research, have decided that the neutral safety switch is the problem but not enough funds to pay for a new one.
How can I rewire the pump to battery through toggle?

+12v is only there during cranking and running mode.
My advice is do not bypass the wiring with your switch. There is an interial/roll over switch built into the truck for safety reasons, its job is to prevent fuel from being pumped out after a wreck.

Sell your K&N and buy the correct safety switch from a wrecking yard.

    Win-win.
