I recall watching a video from the almighty Mike Sweers relating that it is supposed to be a seamless and not-so-noticeable transition.

Weird. It looks like a massive ignition retard.

I was hoping there would be more input on the video if more people experience this. So far only one can relate. Anyone else?

    Nothing worthy
Ya really, funny thing is most people complain about the transmission not choosing gears on the HWY. All the HWY driving we've done all i can complain about is it having 6 gears and not being able to keep up to speed without dropping a gear. HATE 6 gears with a payload.. We drive strictly in sport shift to minimize this, as well as no cruise control (never really cared for it anyways)

BUT this!!!! This is NOT right and your video is EXACTLY what happens, 1 stutter, 2, 3, 4 sometimes!!
Sitting on an onramp waiting for a big enough gap so I don't cause an accident, not crossing any on coming traffic etc. I shouldn't have to be scared to drive my vehicle..

Yes, I have an open case on mine for this issue and finally after submitting a log of my truck driving around the regional toyota field technician admitted there is a problem with the truck. He said they are working on a fix (likley software) and will let me know when its ready, as for now they don't have any time estimate.

Its not the throttle mapping, if you read the OVTune threads there is information in there about it. OVtune apparently has it fixed in their tunes.

Yep that's the Stutter. Lucky that you don't and weird that others do. I posted that video. Sometimes I don't have it at all and other times it's worse than what you see in the video. I hope everyone keeps this thread in mind if a fix does come out. Let everyone know.

I wasn't trying to minimalize your plight...
I find it kind of odd, some claim OVTune fixed it in the tune. It sort of implies that everyone should be affected.
    FWIW, I use 91 E0 and S-mode exclusively

For me running premium "mostly" addressed this, but it would still occasionally give me that hesitation. I am NOW in the bucket of OVTune = I never ever ever feel any hesitation or "slight miss" feeling. It's a timing thing I suspect but who knows. I just know I don't have to deal with it any more. I press gas, truck goes - what a novel idea!?

Since this is back on topic, my report is Toyota is a bunch of assholes that don't care!
After numerous trips to my dealer who DOES care and agrees it's not right i heard back from corporate here in Canada and the guy was a real tool. He flat out told me to adjust my driving behavior before I kill someone. He says this is totally normal but can't explain why it doesn't happen the same every time. (sometimes it doesn't hesitate, sometimes it's one or two or three stutters..)

Waiting on a call back from his superior cause I couldn't talk to that arrogant asshole any longer..
