Does anyone know if you can get a Sport Hood w/ the scope from a dealership?

I worked a hood swap into my deal when I bought my 2017 Sport. I did not want the hood scoop, and the dealership swapped my scoop-hood for an Off Road hood without the scoop.

 

Actually that's kinda awesome, considering it's fiberglass it will cut down on weight considerably and not to mention it's actually functional AND looks better than the OEM imo.

 

I agree with these benefits, but - if you care - fiberglass hoods don't crumple in a collision the way the OEM hoods do, and that crumple-effect protects vehicle occupants. American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is a rare example of an aftermarket company that makes hoods that crumple like OEM, but AEV only makes hoods for the Jeep JK (and maybe RAM heavy duty), and they are steel not fiberglass. There are probably others out there that I don't know about...

 

Not yet. I probably would've gotten one if I had a change to see the cement in person.
