Got my mbrp turndown to get clearance for a larger spare. No regrets. Yes it's loud but the drone really only exists around 2k RPM+ and the motor noise kinda takes over around 3.5 to 4k anyways. No regrets on it, but if I had the balls I would've got the spec u instead.

    DO NOT TRUST ONLINE VIDEO!

I know many people that have made that mistake. The sound from your computer is more dependent on recording equipment used and your headphones/speakers playing it.

Don't make the mistake I did. I saw a video online where a Flowmaster 44 sounded great! I had it installed and the drone was so bad you could feel it in your teeth. I lasted 3 days before I had them cut it out and install a Magnaflow. Much better and what I stayed with. Go find some friends with Tacomas and listen to theirs to see what you like.

I have the Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 single in/dual out and I have no drone at highway speed in 6th gear (2k rpm) The only time I hear a slight drone (which I like) is when the rpm's are around 24k in 5th gear (MT6). Unless your rpm's stay at that range of 24k I wouldn't worry to much. $.02 Aloha

So many to choose from. JBA and Gibson also have systems along with the usual suspects of TRD, URD, Borla, Magnaflow, AFE and Flowmaster. Chime in if I forgot any....

If you go with 44's you are going to get that heavy drone IMO, even the 40 will give you that drone you don't want. The person who did my exhaust in Kalihi who's really good mentioned that the 40 and greater would be create too much of a drone in the Tacoma. He said the Delta Flow 40 was the way to go because of the drone. If your looking for a exhaust shop I would recomend him, I bought the Flowmaster exhaust and tips online and took it to him to install. He fabricates all the pipes needed (how you want) and you can save some money going that route. I saved about $300+ compared to Exhaust Systems Hawaii.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Woa someone with some half decent advice on a muffler thread? Lol

I put a racing muffler on my truck and dumped the exhaust. The single loudest part is the dump. My Miata has a racing exhaust with a rear exit pipe and it's STILL louder than the truck. These 4L are whisper quiet.

Heres my setup with a video. I do have a small amount of droning on the way but it isn't obnoxious.
