where and how does everyone have their hi-lifts and shovels mounted on their trucks if you don't have a roof rack, bed rack, swing out bumper etc. I'm looking to have them mounted securely in the bed both from rattling loose and being stolen out of the bed. Post pics if you've got them! Thanks

IMG_1876.jpg I made a plywood panel mount for the front of the bed and mounted hi lift, and shovel and my treads
I uses some brackets I had for the jack, quick fists for the shovel (which you can't see, sorry) and I welded 2aluminum brackets that are bolted to the plywood to hold the treds which are just bungee corded for now
Every thing is locked with a cable to a padlock and out of the weather under the tonneau cover
The plywood is attached to the front bed track so the only drilling is in the plywood

The @Zac of all trades mounts are awesome. I did a double quickfist mount (shovel and fiskars axe - not pictured). I got the RCI hi-lift mounts and they are alright. Maybe its just the weight of a 60" hi-lift compared to the weight of a shovel and axe, but man, the RCI mounts are noisy clanking in the bed while wheeling.

I fabbed my own. I dont like the quick release rubber type. Ive seen them fail and its to easy for someone to come by and steal your shit. Lets face it if you need your jack, shovel or axe you really dont have to be in that big of a hurry unsecure them. All of mine can be removed with 1/2 socket or wrench.

ignore the concrete....hi-lift mounted using the @RelentlessFab mounts and shovel is just quickfists, fender washers, t-nuts and bolts.
