Left slider on. Climbed out from under truck. Last thing I remember. Woke up passed out on ground. Overcome by heat. Inside now. Took cold shower. Drinking water. No more laying on 98 degree blacktop. My old ass cant take it. Off work tomorrow. Will start early and get done before it gets hot. Drilling hardened frame sux a bunch. 4 holes killed 6 bits.

Baja Designs fogs showed up. All that I'm waiting on is 2 blank plates to cover cut outs in back bumper until I get those leds.

Last of the skids go on as soon as I get right slider on.

Front coil swap (to 887s) waits for cool weather.

Getting old sux. Take advantage of being young. It goes by fast.

Cold shower. 2 hour nap with ac turned to 65. 3 quarts of gator aid. Me and Sandy hung 2nd slider. Will drill frame and do last 4 bolts in the morning.

Feeling better. Just no more hot asphalt.

I'm good. Thanks a million for the offer. I'm sleeping in, probably to around 7, then off to bLOWES to get more drill bits. I broke 6 cobalt bits on 4 holes. Gotta drill hardened frame in a weld seam. It'll be 8;30 or 9 before Icm back home. All I'm doing then is drilling the last 4 holesc putting in those bolts, then calling it a day.

The skids can wait until it's cooler. Same with fogs. Blank plates won't be here until late friday.

I think they said the frame on my '99 was made out of that "unsafetodrive-ium" stuff.

Mine is one of the first frames from Hino, after they quit using the rust prone Dana frames. It is apparently Toyota's best effort to solve a problem. It's still black as the ace of spades, no rust, and harder than Chinese arithmatic. I drilled all 4 holes with 7/16th bits and no pilot hole. Gonna grab some 1/4" bits too. See if that works better.

I usually use a 3/16 bit to pilot when drilling into steal, works great as long as it doesn't snap.

Done! (With sliders) drilled all 4 holes with 1/4", then repeat with 7/16". Only snapped one 7/16" when attempting 3rd hole. Bolts in! Now to pick up tools and clean up mess. Then it's rest and recover time. I'm waiting until Saturday morning for skids and fogs.

For now, I'm hoing inside in ac and fondle my Baja Design fogs20170817_084617.jpg

    Phone camera = bad picture.

Down to 2nd and 3rd section of skids and fogs. May pull the nose of the truck in the garage and do the fogs later. I need rest now. Yesterday took a tole on me.
