The toyota part# for the trans pan drain plug crush washer is 35178-30010

Is the trans pan check plug crush washer the same part#?

    Thanks for any help!

I have just confirmed with toyota that part#35178-30010 fits both. The crush washer for the trans fluid pan drain plug and the trans pan fluid check plug.

I did the drain and fill last night per this thread. I did the fluid level check at 115 deg f (with a OBDII shop scan tool) . In the OP the temp range is between 115-130 deg f. However I have read on service manuals the temp for checking is between 97-115 deg f . Since I did the fluid level check at 115 am I ok on the fluid level ? what is the correct range for the fluid level check ? TIA

I think later models like ours are the 97-115. My 2010 falls into that range. Earlier models are the 115-130, from what I've seen.

went to go change the oil (which I've done before) but was kinda rushed I had a dinner to go to. Needless to say I started to drain the transmission fluid and didn't realize it until it was just about fully drained... So, this was around 6pm... dealership closed, dinner was at 7pm and I worked at 6:30am the next morning. Ended up getting the truck towed to a Big Brand Tires they were the only people that could get me in right away. They filled it....BUT they used Shell brand transmission fluid... So, been driving around for week with it and its been acting up a little on deceleration and in first after a stop sign/light. Delayed movement with a sudden jolt then its smooth as can be. Found out through this forum a few day later that you can/should only use Toyota fluid... So now that's happening tomorrow

That seems low for a full flush.

my .02 if you are having tranny issues with the shell fluid, you need to replace all the fluid, not just part of it.

Well, I scheduled a drain and fill. But I was gonna have first have them check the levels of the fluid. I've read on here and elsewhere that the issues i'm having can and very likely due to it being under filled

Only issue I had from mine being underfilled, was hard shifts, especially when the cruise was on and going up a hill. Hope that's all your issue is.

Its more of just a delay shifting into first gear. smooth shifting the rest of the way through

You can use whatever brand fluid you want, as long as it says it's Toyota WS compatible.

They didn't show me the bottle of fluid. Have heard toyotas are finicky with any other than oem toyota fluid. Just got to the dealer, explained and they said it's probably a combination of it being under filled and not using the correct fluid. Estimate was $115

All done. Turns out the shop that had originally filled it only put in 1 quart of fluid!

Has anyone installed a Magnefine Transmission Oil Filter? Would a real filter like Magnefine eliminate the need to drop the pan, clean the magnets and replace the OEM Transmission Filter that's little more than a screen?

Just reached 30,000 miles on my 2016 SR5 so I decided to do a drain and fill of my transmission it was strait forward no problems, removed the drain plug and 3gt 8oz came out and I put the same back in used Valvoline MaxLife it has the WS rating.
