2017 Carlisle Truck Nationals

Here we see another example of an otherwise stock truck that has been lowered. It's a 2004-2012 Chevrolet Colorado extra cab 2WD that appears to have started its life as a fleet/work truck of some sort. The owner left the truck pretty much stock, even leaving the stock painted steel wheels, but lowered the suspension.

I have to say, this look has really grown on me!

Getting off the expressway, what's the first thing I see...?

A common Bicyclus Moronicus...

Better know as a bicycle rider!

Even two hours away from the Philly Burbs there's no escaping them!

The difference between a bicycle rider and a cyclist is that a bike is the only form of transport available to the former for whatever reason, and they ride among traffic and/or on busy roads with no helmet! This is one of the more common forms of Bicyclus Moronicus; A disheveled-looking bearded man, probably 50+ years old, riding a bicycle with improvised saddlebags...

Heading to the hotel to check in...


Saturday and Sunday were surprisingly pleasant (70s-80s), but Friday was humid and well into the 90s. I just had the A/C in my Taco recharged in late June (after nearly 8 years and about 75K miles of trouble-free service), and it was cranking out finger-numbing cold air when these photos were taken...

Back at the show after driving back from the hotel...


Stormy weather came back in by the early evening, and the fairgrounds cleared out pretty quickly...

Luckily I was in my truck and headed back to the hotel by the time the rain started coming town again...

I left the truck at the hotel and took and Uber back to the fairgrounds, where I had a flight of beer, a huge pretzel, and a German sausage sampler at Desperate Times Brewing Company...
