If the Walmart on Rivers in N.CHS still has two $35 preimum Weber's...one has your name on it.

I wonder what shipping to TX would be for a Smokey Joe....

I have a feeling it'll be $15+ given the size/weight. If so, it gets close to new prices.

I'll take a quick look, but I certainly appreciate it!

I had a Weber Go Anywhere for a few years. I ended up giving it to one of my sons. For me and the way I cook it didn't turn out so well. The coals were too close to the food and had to wait a long time for them to cool down. And not a lot of room for indirect cooking. I'm thinking the little smokey Joe would have the same problem. I think at least for me the Jumbo Joe would be a better choice and on the Virtual Weber site a lot of people use the Jumbo Joe when cooking instead of the kettle when there is only a couple of people or traveling. Hey wait a minute I need to go check Walmart and Target now!!

I really want a small Weber for when I cook for just myself but also something I can pack for camping. The Go Anywhere seems to fit that bill with the size, shape, etc.

@scottalot at the N.CHS Walmart. Only 5 smoky joe premiums left. Somebody beat me to the kettles.

When I finished the jerky the other night rain was coming and the smoker was too hot to put the cover on it. I wish the parts of the WSM fit over the bottom joints instead of inside of them rain runs inside and makes a mess of the charcoal section. What to do.. Dug out my silicone jacket that I use in the winter when it is windy and cold. Perfect!

Dog sold separately. And if this young guy can't get his impulse control in check might be available. Time for the Edison collar and try that hopefully without breaking his prey drive which is through the roof. Acorns dropping already mast crop is heavy this year. And damn tree rats everywhere around the house.

That was my reasoning for purchasing it. But for me was just a bit too small and more like a hibachi which I've never been a fan of. And you can't raise the grates.

For me and maybe one other person after 40 years finally switched my Coleman white gas burner to propane.

If more people are involved in a group hunt or get together I use the 3 burner propane with cast iron griddle usually sitting on it.

But that leaves a void yet for charcoal and I've tried a number of the small grills. Figure have a truck and an off road trailer I should have room although I take a lot of shit camping any more LOL. Screw that roughing it thing. Grouse season opens in exactly one month. For the cabin I am renting going to go with this-

    Jumbo Joe https://www.amazon.com/Weber-121100...id=1502987939&sr=8-1&keywords=weber+jumbo+joe

Weber Smokey Joe portable table https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHUR0OC/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8

    Small turner and tongs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LR3BB2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8

    Weber small chimney starter https://www.amazon.com/Weber-7447-C...2&sr=1-1&keywords=weber+small+chimney+starter

    Stainless Steel griddle https://www.amazon.com/Little-Gridd...003VGM012/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Not exactly a compact setup LOL but I do own a pick me up truck..

Cajun Bandit even makes a rotisserie for it https://www.cajunbandit.com/product-p/rr18.htm

And a small Vortex will also fit it for chicken wings.

Think it will be worth it in the end however will not be as small, but will be more effective.

Figured out what happened to the two Webers. They're reorganizing the outdoors section and the guys with the scanners nabbed them. Can't blame them for that.

Three are showing available at a Walmart on my way home tomorrow and will see what's what there.

    :fingerscrossed:

Just told my friend about this. He has an older one and the bottom rotted out. He was looking for a new one. This is DIRT cheap and the local Walmart over here has it for $49. If he wants one I may go run up there and get it for him since I think he is on a 24 hour shift today (fire fighter).

One fix is get an electric smoker with a cold smoke generator. Then all you do is close it up roll it inside and your done. Another benefit is cold smoking salmon and cheeses of various flavs.

Damn there was a local Wally World with the $49 price but they're out of stock. Wonder if the others wouldnprice match it. I'd buy it and just resell it

Worth a try at least. Walmart seems to only PM Walmart now. Awesome deal, I may go pick one or two up and if he doesn't want it then I can use them as Christmas gifts.
