IMG_0092.jpg Finally got the new raptor lights in, and hooked up the winch. Driveshaft is getting 2" added to the length, because it is vibrating quite badly, and a balance didn't work.

Update: ordered a ARB awning and awning room for camping trips this summer. Can't wait to see how it looks.

Driveshaft has to get a few inches added to stop the vibrations.

My buddy DJ and I wired up my lights last night.

Awnings installed. Can't wait to use them for camping this weekend. More pics to come.

Got question for ya, how hard was it to swap wiring harnesses. What had to be changed.

For the swap, the entire engine harness and body/interior (same harness) had to be swapped. Toyota has a different pin-out for every single year Tacoma until 2001 (I believe). In my case, the plug for the interior/body harness was the same plug, different pin out. I swapped the entire harness. It took work, but it's do-able. While your at it, get an interior harness with factory options (they're tied in). I added factory cruise (doesn't work right now due to a clock spring), factory e-locker (still have to wire up the back half), factory power mirrors and locks. Good luck my friend!

IMG_0124.jpg IMG_0137.jpg Went camping this weekend. Got to test out the ARB awnings and awning room. Freakin epic. Easy to set up, tear down, and was really good with the wind. 10/10 recommend. Went camping with some Jeep guys, one of which had an awning. Made an awning city of sorts, as seen in the second pic.

Okay, I kinda figured haha. So I'll be ripping the dashes out on both trucks then. Swapping my 95 engine and tranny to a 96 that I bought.

Just know that if the emissions equipment is different between the 96 and 95.5, then it could fail emissions. They generally want a motor of the same year or newer.

It's slightly different, but Wa and Az don't seem to care as long as the OBDII passes and the emissions from tailpipe are in check

Side note: recently, I've fixed most of the bugs from the swap. It now has a working horn, brights, etc. Now, all that's left to figure out is: 1) e locker 2) cruise 3) cams rattling 4)exhaust leak 5) a/c and heat

Good news! In the quest to make the Tacoma more badass than ever, I realized that I would need to retire it to my garage for a bit. I've bought a new daily driver, and am leasing for a few years. Here it is! 2017 Honda Fit.
    IMG_0330.jpg
Since I have that to daily, I can figure out the locker wiring and figure out the rattling cams.

Finally fixed the rattling cams. All it was was the exhaust cams not being spring loaded on the shared cam gear. It was a PITA to take it all apart, but the taco doesn't idle like a diesel any more. The picture below should give an indication to how I was feeling.

Also, I ordered some shifter seats from marlin crawler and will be installing those sometime this week (hopefully). I also need to fix my speedometer, but that's for a different post. IMG_0354.jpg

Did you ever do anything with the intermittent wipers from the donor?

I installed the entire column from the donor truck. Gained tilt column, cruise control (doesn't work right now), and intermittent wipers.

That's awesome. Planning on connecting the Cruise? Your truck is rad as hell, man.
