I vote ditch lights. I was out on a trail at night, everything was lit up on this narrow trail in front EXCEPT for the sides, which I needed to find the exit to the trail. Had to hold a light and drive. Total pain.

I have their white led fogs and ditch lights.
As mentioned above just point them a little higher to eliminate glare and your golden.
The fogs will throw out more noticeable light directly in front of you rather than the sides.

Have you considered a top mounted light bar? Not sure how much projection you'll get having it so low.

I also plan on ditch lights exclusively for corner/side lighting.

I have their 30" single row and LED pods for fog lights. Works great.

The pods throw a decent amount to the sides, but not as much as ditch lights angled out would. I have a set of Squadron Pro's I'll be putting on as ditch lights too, because LED's bro :p

20170812_105010.jpg Im out in the woods almost every weekend and vouch for their side projecting lights. They work really well.
My only issue is lighting on objects far in front of me, which I'll use the factory halogen high beams. There's nothing i dont see at night with that combo. i will be getting the amber fog leds soon for the rainy and snowy season in the coming months

The wiring harness that comes with the lights includes everything you need, including the relay. but yeah, you can turn on the lights anytime as it's directly connected to the battery

    Hello,

Thanks for choosing us to help out your lighting needs and thanks everyone who has our products and helping OP out.

For ditch lights here's our install video and wiring to help you out.
    https://youtu.be/IOmqEuhcCfs

I highly recommend getting our side projecting pods if you go to the ditch light route. They give a great over all view.

Next is our fog replacements, the amber Leds are really nice because it really helps in fog, dust, rain, snow because it's helps cut through the elements compared to a white led that reflects off those elements.

Last our bumper 30" kit. Here's the install video. https://youtu.be/FUJ25TTwsQg

If going this route I would get out 30"
Combo beam. It would give a better overall Coverage compared to the all spot beam. The combo beam is a spot / flood combo, where the floods shoot to the sides and the spot is straight a head of you.

At the end of the day, all great kits and very affordable. Just depends on what looks and how much light you want at the end of the day. If you have any questions feel free to PM us or give us a call 714-604-6426.

    Thanks

Here's what we run. The light bar is "hidden" most of the time - you'll only really see it at certain angles/light reflections off the lens or if you're really looking hard for it.

If they kind of function like "alley lights" on the old light bars that used to ride on top of cop cars they are going to be awesome.

Yes most cop cars have those roof mounted lit bars but not all have good alley lights, they are fantastic when patrolling.

Now we had halogen bulbs which did a great job keeping greens green and browns brown, I'm sure no LED pod company is going to offer Hi CRI led pod options but I sure hope someone decides to.

My vote is ditch lights.

20161221_043441.jpg I would suggest rigid fog light kit thoughts lots of light off the side of the road. I use them everyday on my way to work to see the big brown white tails.

Rigid makes an SAE compliant fog light kit allowing their fogs to be ran on the street, if you're really wanting some fogs. Although I think a combo of the ditch lights and lightbar behind the grill is your best combo for maximum light.
