Update on minor issue......drove truck today and no issues. Cluster showed 2 after engaging SSP, went up thru the gears and all well.

installed the SSP today and I finally can say I don't hate driving my Taco anymore. Does anyone know if the SSP will cancel or work together with the ECT button? It works as advertised.

If you remove the B-pillar vinyl, it also solves all the shifting issues. Just saying.

2nd gens didn't have the black vinyl B-pillar, hence no shifting issues.

ECT shifting map is more aggressive than SSPro. So ect will downshift before SSPro would.

OP has addressed it a couple of times but I can't find the post. I think he recommends not using ECT and SSPro at the same time if you want to maximize the utility of SSPro.

I'll be darned. Shifting issues? Lack of torque? Remove that vinyl!

I don't have any skin $ wise in this. But SSP works all around so well in my truck that the pro I have coming already has one sitting waiting for it in the barn.
Plus I'm taking off VYNYL today which obviously helps

Be sure to roll your windows down. Go slow. Don't heat up the vinyl too much or it won't come off in large pieces. I did it all by hand with a hair dryer. WD40 cleaned off the tiny bit or residue left in a couple places. Did not need Goo-Gone or anything.

Thank you. I have a heat gun. I suppose if I take it off and don't like it I can put it back on.

Hate my transmission so much I've thought of selling my truck. It can be frightening to make left turns with oncoming traffic.

17 TRD DC 4x4 running 285's w/2inch lifft and some heavy add ons.

.....Order number 1500 on the way. Very excited to try this out. Will post my thoughts after install.

This will definitely help. You might also want to look at regearing though.
