Hey Lloyd, after seeing all your posts recently, you're obviously a very safety oriented man. I need to upgrade my first aid kit for when I go wheeling and camping. Nothing crazy, as my camping trips are 2-3 days at most, and for now I'll be relatively close to civilization. In your opinion, what's a good all encompassing kit that I can buy? FWIW, my wife is in her 3rd year of medical school, and is (obviously) very medically savvy and can deal with some more advanced stuff, if there are any kits that have something like that.

I like the Sportsman's Medical Kit by Adventure Medical and supplement the kit with a Compression Bandage.
Even if you're close to civilization, I think the most important part of any first aid kit is to control any large blood loss, to get the injured person stabilized for transport to a medical facility. The QuikClot, tourniquet and compression dressing are the key components that will help with that ultimate goal.

If you already have a decent first aid kit, it's a good idea to supplement with Quickclot, tourniquet and compression bandage

Minor injuries, such as cuts, bruises, sprains and strains are generally covered by most basic kits.

Also, consider your group and the possible medical issues that might arise. Bee stings, food and environmental allergies, asthma, children, seniors, etc. Then beef up your first aid kit to possibly meet those needs: I always carry a fresh EpiPen, albuterol inhaler, allergy meds. And I'm considering an automated defibrillator.

Lastly, but most important. Please make sure you understand and know your first aid kit and how to use it's contents.

TW express isn't a bad idea either, 'll be seeing @Wheelspinner in September. Also I have a first aid kit in my kitchen box  I should really assess it's contents though, never opened it up.

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm going to have my wife go through the kit with me (whatever gets decided) and give me training on the stuff I don't know how to use.

I have one but it's not like that one that subway has,it's just a regular hand type. Like a conventional rivit gun

Can it set metric nutserts though? I just need to put in 4 into the truck to install a light bar.

    Yes
I use it to put nutserts in trucks that use "California mirrors"
