What type of meat? I do a ground/cubed mixture and the ground always pretty much disappears. Which I don't like.

Used to be one of my fav hunting season things. BIG OL POT of Venion Chili. Have not been able to hunt in a while (work and state I lived in) and I can't afford the prices they want online to ship it. Got some canned meat in the cupboard from a friend going to do a stew soon.

the overnight cook on low makes the meat super tender/moist and enhances the flavor IMO.

Anyone know of a good crock pot to buy? All of mine cook wayy too hot. I got a brand new one and the first time I used it it burned everything in it, on low, in 4 hours.

I want a crock pot that actually cooks low and slow. I have been through 4 crock pots in the past couple of years because tgey all cook too hot.

Mine has the settings of "High" "Low" and "Warm" but I've found that "Low" is more of a "Medium" and "Warm" is actually "Low" so that's how I run it.

West Bend and Crock Pot brands.

I cook stews usually with crock pots or meats like roasts. I don't do like combo meals where I put noodles/rice in with stuff.
