I came out of the trees when most people were just starting to go up in them. Rode a Baker "deathtrap" tree stand almost 30 feet to the ground one night after it rained then the bark froze as it got cold. Skinned me up pretty good and we didn't have any safety equipment back then. Many people ended up either dead or paralyzed sitting in an wheelchair like old man Kinsey at Kinsey archery. Used to shoot there and he tried to talk me out of reenlisting and shooting professionally for him.

And I killed more deer with the bow and gun once I learned how to slow down enough and still hunt. Been a couple of years since I've carried a bow or gun but still take some people out. One of my friends never did learn to slow down enough and couple of years ago he was in front of me, too far and too fast, and I saw a bedded buck that went at least 300 pounds and a massive heavy perfect typical rack staring at us. I sped up and grabbed my friend and spun him around. The deer had enough and blasted out of his bed going the other way. My friend said hey there goes 2 deer. NO it was one deer and you walked too fast, right by him.

My youngest son learned how to do it and has never been in a tree stand. Used to practice by stalking up to deer that were feeding outside of hunting season. He killed his first deer pretty close to where I killed my first deer. Have some good memories from the days of us hunting together.

Nice job. That's good approach to the problem. We back a 10 wheeler down and dump it slowly, then use the backhoe to place and broadcast the material. We also get in the water at low tide with asphalt steel rakes cause there heavy duty, and move it while spotting for operator.

I did that my 1st year after a report of a guy ripping the axle off his trailer. But then I see the segments and just made a command decision. Then after I did a guy from Game and Fish asked me if they were still there...."yup, minus 4 segments". They still haven't came for the rest of them. They better hurry because I have a dirt ramp on the other side that I'm going to recut and use the rest there.

Best I can figure, the segments have been sitting there since the 90's.

Very good. I like the term Power Loading!! We get large boats and they can blow craters at the end of the ramp. Our biggest ramp has 14 individual ramps, and is busy AF.

Welp, Back when I did eights I been saying give'em 8 and hit the gate. But being I'm on 10's it's another day closer to retirement and about time to go home. Hope everyone is having a good day. I heard two Horned Owl's this morning in the park, and said to myself, what a great way to start the Day! Be Safe Folks.

We're no where near that big. We have one ramp that you can get 3 wide, one ramp 2 wide, 2 singles and one dirt...well 2 dirt but one area hasn't been developed...and we have some small sections of shore you can beach launch jet skis.

I did this just not that bad. when I was young 11 or 12. my dad for some reason I can't remember why had me back up the trailer when we where hauling out the boat. Well some how my foot slipped off the break onto the gas pedal. by the time I knew what was going on. The water was at the bottom of the back window. Dad was not impressed....but everyone else at the ramp was.
