I know sometimes the issue was with other companies being slow. The Boss was backordered for a while recently because of the spring manufacturer for example. So Toytec couldn't do anything until springs came in.

I've personally never had any customer service issues with Toytec and I've been using them since 2009.

All high performance shocks will not have the length of service as OEM but give you the options of lift and soaking up the bumps. The only one I can think of that might last to as close to OEM might be Old Man Emu. They were developed around getting beat to hell in the Outback.

As far as their exposure to the elements and longevity, you might consider wrapping them or ceramic coating them to keep them safe.

Well after a month toytec came through and replaced front and rear shocks. Let hope these last longer than a year otherwise I'll be buying a different brand.

I hear fluid film applications go a long ways to protect the metals from those nasty east coast roads.

I had normal driving conditions on the road. Maybe it was being in the northeast or something. The COs were nice for a while. I just wish they had more information on the website explaining the longevity. I would not have purchased these if I had the information they have since provided me in emails about these struts.
I contacted Toytec and they offered another set at a discount price but this entire experience is something I want to forget, not go through again in two years.

So are you referring to how long the coilovers last or the finishon them due to east coast conditions?

The shock finish was toast after about a year and the paint was chipping of the coils themselves soon after. The coil overs both failed about 6 months after that. They lasted about 18-20 months. 30k.

Just ordered a Toytec lift kit. Is there anything else that I need? Carrier bearing drop? extended brake line? I know there are mixed views on the diff drop, but the kit came with it. Is it best to just install that as well? Or leave it alone?

Use everything that comes with the kit, smarter minds recomend them. I love my Toytec Boss 2.0 on a TRD OR 4x4 DCSB MT6 $.02

I have the boss 2.0 lift from toytec with the diff drop installed. I also bought the carrier bearing drop and installed that. Don't know if you really need it, but for 10 dollars and about 2 minutes worth of labor I said why not. Runs great. Make sure to get your needle bearing replaced by the bushing from ecgs or you may get some vibes, I did.

I have a boss 2.5 complete lift on my '17
Still a little rubbing while wheeling with 275/70/17's (driver side only)
How can I tell if the front is adjusted to max height?

Only rubs if I'm turned in an off-camber section. Still not acceptable for wheeling.

Is it rubbing on the cab mount? I would much rather do some trimming or the cmc then cranking up the coil overs adding a bunch of pre-load to them.
