Tired of coiling my air hose.
Got the 50 ft retractable hose reel from HF. 60 bucks with supercoupon.
Mounted it in garage ceiling just above my compressor.
    Seems pretty sturdy.

Installed an inexpensive water separator for my air compressor based on @stairgod 's recommendation.

After two weeks of use, already accumulated about a tablespoon of water.

Thanks Jon for NOT warning me to release the tank air pressure prior to draining the water form the separator...

... splashed all over my face! LOL.

I won't be going up that way until the end of September. I'm on a project in the 5 boroughs right now.

Love the retractable air hose. Want to set that up in my garage. How are you feeding it? I have a retractable extension cord on the ceiling and want to get another for both sides. So nice not having shit on the floor.

I have a 6 SCFM Porter Cable air compressor on the floor directly below the reel and a short length of 3/8" hose from the compressor to the air inlet of the reel. Somehow, there's a spring in the reel that pulls the hose back in automatically. Just tug on the hose a little and then it starts pulling the hose into the reel. Pretty neat.

I've been dealing with same issues of hoses and extension cords all over the garage floor.

Last month, @Lilcarkid helped me add more 120v outlets and a new 240v sub-panel and outlets. Now I have electrical outlets everywhere in the garage. The longest extension cord that I have to use in the garage is now only 10 feet.

I used to have one 120v outlet in the garage that for some inexplicable reason, shared a circuit with the TV and bathroom light in one of the bedrooms. If I use a high amp saw or other tool, then everything cuts out. It was an easy convince to the wife that I needed 2 additional circuits and 6 outlets in the garage. LOL.

Naw. She keeps my girls company cuz mom works weekends, while I have fun wheeling :)

We know the girls are safe and sound when Subway is home. :)

She likes riding in the truck though. Although I'm not sure how she'll like bouncing around in it while wheeling.
    IMG_1397.jpg

She doesn't like the Prius. It is the car that we use to take her to vet, so she always associates the Prius with bad things.

I'm curious how my boy Tony will do the first time wheeling. He loves the car because he just sleeps in it, but like you said, no idea how he'll do bouncing around. Guess we'll see!

Good. Because right now, we abuse the heck out of her.
We only gave her one cupcake instead of six.

Yup. Special recipe with ground beef and other goodies.

But we're not surprised she's trim and fit. She runs like the wind and loves running free at our local neighborhood orchard. The owner let's us run the dog off-leash there.

There's a little bit of Greyhound when the Doberman breed was being developed :)

My On Board Water (OBW) solution has evolved:

I was very happy with Version 1.0 and have used it on 3 trips with no real issue, except for two very minor things (1) Full spray pressure lasted less than 1 minute and adding more pressurizing air from the ARB twin required me to unwind, reconnect and store the air hose. (2) Pressurizing the Scepter Military Water Can(MWC) caused it to bloat more than I liked and it encroached into the second container, a Scepter Military Fuel Can (MFC.)

So I explored other options and settled on Version 2.0. I think this is my final iteration.

Worx Hydroshot attached to my Scepter MWC water pick up tube via a Gardena Quick Connect. Power is provided by an included 20v 2.0AHr battery. I also have a spare 4.0AHr battery. Pressure is rated at 94 PSI at the "Normal" power setting and short lance (pictured) and up to 320 PSI at the "High" power setting and the included long lance. Rotating spray nozzle provides 0, 15, 25, 40 degrees of spray and a low pressure "shower" mode. I did do a rough timed run a few weeks ago with about 32 minutes of runtime. But I don't remember what settings/spray angles I used. One of these days, I'll time the battery run-time at various power and spray angles and publish it here.
    IMG_0998.jpg

Includes a 20 foot hose attachment which I added Gardena Quick Connectors. You can also throw the end of the hose attachment into any water source (bucket, pool, pond, etc.) It has a debris filter and a float on the intake end.

The black color MWC should absorb heat from the sun to warm up the water to a reasonable temperature for a decent shower. If not, I can add hot water through the large opening.
    IMG_1001.jpg

I think one of the coolest things is the included "Water Bottle Connector" which attaches to any 2L soft drink container. Portable pressurized water has many possible uses at camp (i.e. washing dishes away from the general camp site, preventing critter invasion) or on the trail (i.e. washing off @mach1man001 's front brake assembly full of mud during a trail repair)
    IMG_1002.jpg

I'll report back when I've used this contraption in the field a couple times.
