Does the metallized tint cause issues with the radio? Or is everyone just going with the dyed tint?

IMG_0755.jpg IMG_0566.jpg I had my rears tinted over and my whole windshield with a strip at the top. No problem driving at night and during the day no heat comes in while driving

Posting to try and help others looking for tint in the future. It doesn't seem my setup is documented by anyone else.

Went with Suntek Carbon 35% on all windows (over factory tinted glass for the rear windows). I wanted all the windows to be a little darker, but I also wanted to be able to see at night. It's hard to tell in the pics but you can still see through the rear windows a little (on a sunny day). If it was overcast, it would appear even darker.

Love the way it turned out.

I have a Dr's Note for My tint. My whole truck is tinted... every thing. Ive been pulled over and they try to give me a ticket and I just show them my Prescription and they cant do Shizz..

I suggest next time you go to the Dr office. Make sure to ask them to Write you one. Tell them you are "light sensitive, have migraines or have a history of cancer in your family. They will write it up for you and you stick it in your glove box.

I have the tint that blocks uv rays so that when the sun hits me I dont feel it. I would also suggest to go pretty light on the windshield as its can be a pain if its too dark. I also love my moonroof tinted cause I can run around with the visor open and the sun doesnt roast me

    Good luck to everyone

I want to match my front window tint but I've had bad experiences in the past with the colors being off. Has anyone had luck with front window tint matching the rear color? If so what tint did you use? I'm in Portland, OR if you know a good place to go. I just don't want to roll around with mismatched (interior) coloring. It bugs the (expletive) out of me. Thanks for any and all help!

Just got 20% front and 35 on rear windows - madico onyx. I originally just had fronts but turned around and got 35 on rear because colors were slightly off.
Rear will be darker but hey that’s how it is stock anyways. Oh, and not sure why one person said stay clear of metalized tint. It’s the most popular tint the reputable tint shop I went to sells for their more premium tint, and he said the only interference you may get is AM radio. I’ve used it for years with no issues.

One last thing- do you guys tint the back windows? I didn’t and it looks fine.

Just did my front windows with 20%. It’s a pretty close match but the back windows are just slightly lighter. Can’t really tell from the outside especially if you are looking not directly from the side, it is a little bit more noticeable inside, but that may be because it is slightly different color... the stock back windows definitely do look darker now that I tinted the front. 277F3C2E-3F4A-4AD0-997C-4EF25B5CE60E.jpgC393A3AA-7BFD-42CC-A9B9-F83ABD11F5DF.jpg

20% fronts and a 5% visor. I left the rears stock. Like said above, only notice a difference in color from inside. Doesn’t bother me.

How see through is the glare strip at 5%? Was thinking maybe 15%-20% on mine this weekend.

Dont want to feel like the strip will take away from my overall visibility such as making the windshield "feel" smaller.

I thinks it’s perfect. Easy to see through but really helps keep the sun from blinding you. It’s no lower down the windshield than the flip down visors would be in the down position.
