Negative, I work in the Gulf of Mexico, with the price of oil so up and down over the years, the day rate fluctuates so much to help the companies get through the downturn. If we were at a set day rate, the companies would crumble. We are getting paid the same day rate as the unions right now but once oil comes back our pay will increase to about 33%

Several years ago I wanted to join the MFOW in Cali but after sitting down the hall for a month I ran out of money and had to take the job I'm in now. I still would love to go deep sea someday!

I remove large bolts and pins that are stuck in industrial machinery. Metal disintegration. Most of my work is industrial type stuff. Specialty welding, fabrication, etc. conditions are anything but clean, air conditioned and most deffinetly don't smell like nice scented candles.IMG_2233.jpg IMG_2235.jpg

@QMEDJoe Thank you for that! I'm decently stable and secure right now but I'll keep that in mind.

Haha - I wish. I am on the "leaf" or "strip" side meaning that I buy the tobacco from the farmers or another origin, process it (remove the stem, ferment) and then sell it on to the manufacturer. Specialize in smokeless (snuff, chew, etc) and cigar tobaccos. Used to get a lot of samples from customers but the FDA is clamping down on that.
