Most of the stuff I have found show earlier trucks being retrofitted. Is it still plug and play on the later ones?

Ive had four Toyotas in the last nine years. An 03, 09, 10 and a 17. They all suck. Not worth it in my book. Ive had other makes and models that blow away Toyota.

A little of this and a little of that.
I wouldn't consider it 'plug and play', but it's doable. I added OEM cruise to my '13 regular cab.

I negotiated OEM cruise installation when I bought my '13 Prerunner. They told me the wiring harness was already there, but when the began the install, they discovered that base models don't have the needed wiring, so the had to make a wiring harness. Do a search on here and you'll see some of the discussion.

My post came off as if I was saying all Toyotas suck. Not what I meant. I meant the cruise control is useless unless the highways are flat. Hit a small hill and the cruise speeds up and slows down. Cant maintain a set speed.

In that case, I can agree with you. Nothing like cruising in the right lane and right when someone is trying to pass you, the cruise control kicks the rpms up by 1000 and speeds you up 5 mph higher than you set it.

This! It's like you try to use the cruise system and halfway up the hill it decides oh well I can't be bothered.
