I think that's more common on concession trailers. So probably anybody who makes concession trailer shells.

I am towing a 19' Sonic by Venture. Dry weight 3700 lbs. Insight brake controller, equalizer hitch, Hayes Sway Master and custom rear camera with 7' display that clips to rear view mirror. I like the fact that it has wide spaced dual axles and a roof that is one piece of composite fiberglass from front bumper to rear bumper Pictures are attached.Tacoma & Sonic 1.jpg Tacoma & Sonic 2.jpg Tacoma & Sonic 3.jpg Tacoma & Sonic 4.jpg

You're sway system just engages the trailer brakes when it sense sway? That's it?

Also interested in the back up camera make and model

thats all my car trailer has ever needed, just a small bump with the trailer brakes to pull it back in line and bleed some speed off the combination.

Details on the camera setup are as follows: The camera is a 170 degree CMOS that can be adjusted. I purchase on eBay for $10 Link is:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/170º-CMOS-C...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

The display is a 7" color display that attaches with spring clips to the rear view mirror so you don't have to figure out where to put the display and it is where you normally look for things behind you. Purchase on eBay also for $30. Came from china. Link is:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-7-Color...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

The wireless 12V transmitter/ receiver to pass the signal from the camera to the display is also from eBay. Purchased for $10. Reception is good depending on distance from vehicle but with my trailer is is no problem and I get good reception when the truck i unhooked and 15' in front of the trailer. Just make sure you orient both antennas in the same plane for best reception. Link is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4m-Wirele...105906?hash=item464548be32:g:Jm0AAOSwxN5WWQh3

So total price for complete camera setup was $50 plus my labor which is not worth much. Less than crappy add-on tow mirrors and much better view. Great for back into space at RV Park.

The Hayes Sway Master uses a built in GPS to sense vehicle speed and an internal gyro to sense sway of the trailer. If is senses sway of the trailer is applies just the trailer brakes proportional to the speed you are doing to bring the trailer back in line automatically. Hitting the vehicle brakes applied braking to both the vehicle and trailer and is not as effective. If you use the brake controller manual brake you must have the switch in a convenient location to use it and take the time to actuate it, which can be too late. The Hayes Sway Master does this automatically by sensing the sway and applying only the trailer brakes proportional to the speed you are doing. Step up is simple: attach to tongue rail, plug 7 pin plug into unit and plug 7 pin plug on Sway Master into truck. All signals are passed through unit and it only acts to apply trailer brakes when it senses sway. Unit do no apply brakes if speed is below 40 MPH. More info at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKmgDW4kNJs . I got mine on sale for $175. Best price I find today is Amazon at $199 Link: https://www.amazon.com/Hayes-81775-Master-Electronic-Control/dp/B01GT91SY2

i have been arguing with my friend who is an ex tech turned car salesman, so i do trust and value his opinion.

however, after giving me a killer price on his 22' sea hunt ultra, he proceeds to tell me that my tacoma wont pull it.

referenced this thread, a 19' proline behind my truck, and cant get him to budge.
    4-13-14-1.jpg

this is his boat, he said it towers over my truck.
i still dont see it, now would i pull it from florida to delaware? no, but would i pull it around delaware? i think it will. what say you??

Sounds like an awful lot of boat for a Tacoma. I had a boat that was 20ft and it was 3400 dry with an 82 gallon gas tank. Ended up buying an F-150 to tow it.

Pulled this about 600 miles from MI to NY. First time towing anything this heaven with my Taco. She handled it well without any complaints. Just very thirsty...

did the math, estimated of course, ( i have been arguing for) friend is against.
its a couple ticks under 6000 by his math.
    2450 dry - 1400 trailer - 700 motor - 1000 full load of gear and fuel

i didnt pull it, thats the boat id like to get. the one i have pulled, i dont have numbers on, if i had to guess its 800 ish less. which i believe is negligible.

kinda looking at what people have towed to the ragged edge and how it felt. i dont plan on any speed records, i know fuel economy will suck.

spotted this today, and dude said he didnt have any issues. this boat with 2 engines has to be 25' ish. thats was on one post and im not a member of the hull truth.
