Does this have the same weight capacities as the Dakar?

The J66 is a very soft pack and will not hold weight well. It is also only a 1" lift.
The 25001-121 king part number listing in your original post will work with a J66.

Dakars are designed for additional weight and will give closer to 2.5" of lift.
If you go with the Dakars the 25001-121 king part number listing in your original post will not work. You will need a longer shock. The good people at Down south Motorsports or Wheelers Offroad should be able to get you squared away with the correct shock.

In my opinion go with the Dakars. I have the old CS047R pack and it is great both on and off road. Anything softer would be too soft.

Also, 25001-119 coilovers will come with 650# springs.

I added a missing image to the product that explains the lift heights (see below)

The Icon springs appear to be softer than the Dakar packs, which may or may not be a good thing.
If you're loaded with 600lb or more all the time and want 2-3" of lift the Dakar pack is the right choice.
If you're not loaded with as much weight or don't want that much lift the Icon pack might be a better choice.

When setting up suspension to ride well we want softer springs and stiffer shocks.
All of the bolt in replacement shocks are too soft which is why everyone is looking for stiffer springs (front and rear).
Proper springs and shock valving would result in a much smoother, less bouncy, and more controllable ride.

Might also want to take a look at the all pro packs. They are great! I'm currently running their standard pack and get about 3' of lift in the rear with no weight in the bed. Being a DC I'm sure you will get closer to 2' of lift. They handle weight pretty well. I throw my dirt bike in the bed every once in a while and barely even notice. If you constantly have weight they do have their expo pack.plus they're having a 25% off sale on all their leaf pack right now:thumbsup:

Why won't they work? Aren't a lot of people running this shock with dakars and dealers?

That part number is setup for stock rear height. You need the extended length rear shocks to use with the Dakers.

I have the ext kings and deaver leaf. I went with the heavy duty and removed a leaf and my front is set at 2.5 inch with 600lbs springs and I sit dead level. Maybe a 1/4 inch higher in the back when unloaded. I have the adjustable kings and I am very glad I got those as I like to run the stiffest setting in LA with our crap roads. If you go with the deaver 1inch leaf pack you will be stoked. I bet it rides nicer than mine and I love mine.

    Good luck with your choice

Carrier Baring Drop for the Drive shaft. I used to get a stutter on acceleration and now its smooth. its like 12 bucks from OME or you can build your own.

Also reuse your OEM bolts for the carrier as the bolts that come with it are crap and yours OEM are the same length anyways.

I've got the J66 deavers and love them. 1.5" of lift is accurate. Not carrying weight is also accurate although I have had over 1000lbs in the back a few times. Not ideal, but I don't do it enough to justify a harsher riding leaf. I enjoy the soft ride.

Interesting. I have some kings on order with @JT@Bajakits. I have the U402 expedition pack going in the rear so might need to change things up.
