Okay, long story short so people don't get bored and move along...

I had four IPF 968 driving lights installed on my truck. Two switches. They would turn on / off regardless of headlights, high beams, etc. I removed the two middle IPF lights to install LED driving lights today. LED lights work, until I turn the headlights on. Outer two driving lights still work either way. Thanks in advance for any help as this is driving me crazy.

    Before I changed middle two.

New lights installed and working without headlights on.

Here's what I found. Taped off wire going nowhere. Other end seems to be grounded in the fuse box. Did I lose a wire? If so, what was it's purpose? I didn't do the initial wiring of the lights. I did install the new ones.

Just to be clear, are you saying that when you turn on the headlights, the LED lights go off?

how did you wire the new LED lights? Did you just run em off the existing wire from the previous owners install of the 2 middle IPF lights? forget about that taped off wire, at least for right now. Did you run the new LED lights off one of the switches? if I'm reading your post correctly, it says 4 lights, 2 switches. meaning 2 lights per switch. How were the 4 old lights wired?

judging by the way the old ones were spliced, with no solder or heat shrink; rather a butt connector and some tape, I would be suspect of anything else that the previous owner did

I guess this thread answers my question on how many lights are for sale in your for sale thread regarding these ipf lights (2 lights??)
