I dulled an old cold chisel and just set it in one of the indents and gave it a couple of good whacks

Just picked it up. It's definitely fixed, but for how long :fingerscrossed:

I'll order the ECGS stuff and have it on hand just in case.

The same shit everyone else has.
For everyone who does the ECGS bushing, do you change the gear oil to the 85w140 Lucas dino oil per the FAQ on the ECGS's site?

My front diff currently has 75w90 Mobil synthetic in it from when I changed it a while back (almost 30k miles ago now). Now that I got the seal to finally stop leaking I wanna change the oil in it again.

Whos changed over to the 85w140 dino oil and whos kept the 75w90 in their front diffs ?

Got my 2015 DCSB TRD OR 4x4 a few weeks ago and put the lift on last week. Got the dreaded hum/light vibration between 35 and 45 mph. Anyone have the removal tool for sale? Just ordered the bushing and seal.

I just had my bushing installed recently and they used 75w90 dino oil. I am curious if I should change to Lucas 85w140 dino oil.

The spider gear is not machined to tight tolerance. It flops around. The heavier gear oil, helps take up some of the slop. There's a video on ECGS website explaining it.

DOes it go away when turning the wheel? Could be a bad wheel bearing

That was my first thought but it does not go away when turning from side to side

might be really bad. does either front break squeak intermittently?

I had a wheel bearing going bad that I ignored for a long time. the rotor started rubbing intermittently on the pads and made squeak every revolution. would go away if u applied break pressure.
