    those look like marks from a cable, like a phone charger.


    like someone plugged a phone charger in to the usb port and the cable runs right across that area.

    maybe if you have a generic phone charging cable or the cable has some kind of sticky residue on it.
    or if you left the cable in the truck and it got hot in the sun.

    I still find it odd that the laminated and chrome surfaces would not be affected by the same heat source......or at least don't appear to be in these photos.....so that then leads me to fall into the Archimedes Refracted/Reflected Light Death Ray Water Bottle theory.
