5100 center stud snapped off.

Ok trying to pull my 5100s and change to the 2.5" position. The center post was stripped a little so I used vice grips to hold it in position. Snapped off just above the nut....not below that would have been way to easy.

So I'm assuming my only option is to replace the entire strut at this point. Which means two since they are 7 or so years old anyway. Correct?

Time to replace anyway at 7 years old with that kind of corrosion.

 

Don't buy a strut it won't work

Shocks are also wear parts. I expect to change them every few years. Gotta pay to play. I couldn't do the down time anyway.
