Yeah, I'd see if he could come down on the price a bit. He says 'or best offer' and "need to sell quickly" so he's likely flexible. Plus, the radiant red has the TRD package with the e-locker which will make it much better offroad if that's the sort of thing you're into. Could always add an air locker to the blue one later on but those are pricey ($1k+, depending on labor).

I like the blue one - it's one of my favorite colors out there. Maintenance looks good, condition of truck looks good. Gotta check the frame as always. Depends on the creature comforts you want in your truck, too. The 04 will have a newer looking interior with the redesign that happened in 01 and there's also a less likely chance you're going to have to replace consumable / maintenance items like fan clutch, alternator, starter, etc. if any of those are original on the blue one.

For the red one $13k is way out there even though it looks like a good vehicle w/ low mileage and a preferable setup w/ 4x4 5 speed v6 - double cabs usually go for that or lower in excellent condition. If he'd come down to $10.5 I'd consider it.

    Pretty much stock right now
I want to know how he gets 21 mpg on the V6 in the '95. All downhill driving? I like the TRD, only because I don't have one now (had a '97 TRD rust bucket with only 65K).

go for the blue one.....looks more original and well taken care of.....and the topper is a bonus.

The red one has a leveling kit.....not keen on those......and the rims.....Hmmmmm.....not a fan.

    This^^^

I looked for a good, long while trying to find exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for a double cab, 3.4L V6, TRD OR, 4x4, right at 100K miles or less- bone stock- within 8 hours of me. Looked all over and really couldn't find what I really wanted... One day, I saw an XTRA Cab, TRD OR, 4x4, 3.4L V6, 130K miles for sale in Houston, TX (where I live). I watched it for a two weeks (asking $10,800 IIRC) and when I asked to look at it and saw everything worked, I offered him $9K in $100 bills. Worked like a champ.

That being said, it wasn't a DC, but the Xtra cab has worked out great. It's hold 1 carseat, I have a custom platform in the back for my yellow lab, it holds my kayak and ATV in the bed (not at the same time), pulls the duck boat great, and gets us anywhere we need to go.

I would figure out what you REALLY want first and just hold on.

Even though I live in a big enough City, I've bought my last few vehicle's in 2 other City's which are much bigger cities. It was worth the 2-4 hour drive to get much more selection at better prices (more competition). Saved thousands!

For anyone interested, I ended up going with the Radiant Red. 143k miles on the original timing belt. I had a bit more negotiating power when I found that out, haha. Needless to say it sat in my driveway for a day and then straight to the shop.
