Came across this on my local CL today...looks like water damage? Phone kept ringing, no answers. Most likely not something I even want to deal with, but still curious.

Water/electrical problems? No thanks. Run all new factory wire harness, new computers, and it might be ok. Water get in the engine? Who knows.

 

Depending on how high the water got it could be a real mess. But... it could be a deal for someone with lots of time and money on their hands. You would have to check it out really good to know if it was a deal or not.

Honestly you could put a few $,$$$ into it and be ahead of the game, or have troubles non stop. If you had a daily driver and were looking for a project for small trips until it has proved reliability, I'd say go for it.

 

Sounds too good to be true...So send him a cheque that will bounce for the deposit and see what happens..

$8700 for a truck worth around $30k? Why doesn't he fix what's wrong with it and then sell it? Because it's worth in the low $20's with a salvage title and it would cost more than $10k to fix it. Forget it and move on.
