285/ 75/16 versus 33/12.50/16

    I know our truck come with the metric size tires. I have 285/75/16 now. General question. Why do people not go the 33/12.50/16 route and stick with metric? Just curios.

    285/75R16 is closer to 11.2 inches wide. That extra width is probably a deal breaker for people not wanting to have to cut the front end up like crazy.
