I haved searched for this and cant seem to find anyone with the same issue. I have a 2011 dcsb 4x4.

I installed this lift kit https://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/toyota-tacoma/2005-2015/3-lift-kit-with-bilstein-5100-coilovers/

My first issue was it says the front 5100s come preset at approx 3 inches of lift. They came set at the very bottom setting and i did not notice until i installed the shocks. No biggie, I should have payed more attention. Took them back off and used my uncles spring compressor and moved them to the 3rd clip up from the bottom (1.75). Got the truck all put back together and the shocks at ride height are fully extended. It rides like a log truck in the front. The springs are toytech 521600. I do not have ucas but i ordered a set and they are on the way. I like how the truck sits now but obviously the shocks should not be like this.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction? Do i need new springs or.....??

The toytec springs provide the lift, not the 5100's. The 5100's should be set at 0.

So i would need stiffer springs and return the 5100s back to 0? When i first put them on out of the box at 0 the ride height didnt change at all.

I dont know if this is a dumb question or not, but I've never used these shocks before or lifted a truck like this. Im used to my 2002 LT. I did notice when i removed the stock shocks they were the same bilsteins, just with different springs.

The springs should provide 2.5-3" of lift with the clip set at 0. It had 5100's on it already?

Yea they were the same shock as what i bought. I was not aware it had them already. It did have different springs on it than the new ones and the new ones didnt lift it at all.

The stocks were at the 2nd clip up, new ones were on the 1st.
