Installed my panel in my dclb 17 yesterday. Pictures coming soon. A few take aways

-I had to cut out the panel like others for the rear window motor
-I opted not to use the factory sound deadening (Allows easier access to the motor if/when it fails)
-I had to remove a clip and reroute the cable for the rear window (easy but take your time)
-I only used butyl and there is no increase in noise/rattling
-All the holes lined up (I would recommend using additional, larger washers for the lower bolts)

What did you use to try your items down that didn't have mollie straps?

Any chance I would be able to get in on GB #5 still?

    Here's mine installed.

None of the lower bolt holes lined up, holes are all to high, so I could only used the top. It's jammed in there so tight it's not moving anyway. I'm going to make a simple bracket or something and mount it to the two seat belt bolts you see in the lower of picture to keep it secure. I'd rather do that than hack the panel up to make it fit.

Also, I had to remove a bracket which I think was for a baby seat before I installed this. Something I don't think all access cabs owners don't have to worry about, but if you have a baby seat option in your truck, that bracket has to go before you can install this.

I used a piece bubble shield insulation used for houses under it. Stopped all of the road noise and isn't going to absorb any moister or get dirty. If you have some I recommend it. I was really getting sick of hearing the road noise all the time waiting for this to arrive.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble. You're the second person with an access cab that had this issue. I think there is a slight variation among access cab year models from the one where I made the prototype from. Below is a picture customer that provided the initial measurements.

It's all good. I'm not going to make different models just for the access cab. It's just as easy to drill a new hole in soft aluminum.

It is what is. I'm happy to have even had an option like this available for my truck. It's pretty secure how it's currently installed, but I think added some sort of bracket to the lower part of it will work perfect. Just have to drill two holes and make a bend. A small piece of steel or aluminum will probably do the job and not get in the way. I can just paint it to match the panel, so it looks more factory. I think this is good options for people that run into this problem if you don't want to drill the panel again.

Just some information for other people with Access cabs. My Tacoma is an 09 SR5. So possibly this year is a slightly different. The top holes worked perfect though.

If you have a 2017 Tacoma with a power rear window, I now have full size MOLLE panels with a space for the window motor precut available. Same price as full panel.

Anybody else install theirs yet? I wanna see some pics. I found some molle water bottle holders that I think are going to work perfect.
