Gopro was not able to reach an agreement with Amazon for the Christmas 2016 season.... that was a good time to unload. The price has been bouncing around $8.00 ever since. Not sure if it will every go up much.

Their challenge is China. Their GP 5 is about $300. Go out to Amazon and you can find a lesser knockoff with 3,000 great reviews, with a price of $40 delivered and easy Amazon returns.

Unfortunately I think GoPro hit a niche market at the perfect time, and went public at the absolute wrong time. They went public in the same year their product got knocked off around the world.

I only bought a few hundred dollars worth but it was around $45. Went up to 90 then crashed. I literally live in their testing grounds so I saw all the products before they came out, heard what was coming, shit Nick Woodman even owned the house next to me. I had really high hopes for them, but the products didn't improve much, their drone came out a year late a triple the cost it was supposed to be, and they're a publicly traded company that basically makes one product.

I thought they would make way as a brand like Red Bull did. I figured you'd start seeing them as primary sponsors for big sporting events, and see the cameras used for more up close footage across the sporting world. But that never happened.
