I'm surprised the cable companies haven't offered their own streaming service. Unless On-Demand has really grown over the last several years. Still not worth the price imo.

Basic cable bill is at a minimum $65 a month. Contract is usually 24 months. That's $1,560.00 for TV. That buys a lot of Firesticks.

I'm also a PlayStation Vue guy...for $30.00 dollars a month I get all the soccer I can handle and my daughter gets all the kid show crap she (and I) can withstand.

Sling TV works well, just no Fox News. :(

I have a friend with DirectTV that is letting me use their DirectTV NOW account, its pretty slick. I just pay about $30 for internet, plus a antenna for local HD channdels and thats that. The Decades channel 2.1 is pretty cool.

I tried directv now but it sucks not having the dvr feature that the other major players have.

Kodi with SALTS, Quasar, or Exodus takes care of that. DTV Now has on demand at least.

I've had the cable/internet bundle for years, but today I finally cut the chord and got rid of cable. Just not worth $140 per month for both (especially cable, which I don't use that often), so I went with internet only $54.99 + Sling TV Blue ($25). Now, instead of $140ish per month, I'll be looking at around $80.

These days, there are so many ways to get your favorite shows by other (cheaper) means.

I have the 35 dollar a month plan. I am cancelling it. Service is bad with my isp. Most stations for that price I don't care about. Loads slow. I would like to find a satellite provider where I can just get the Local networks I am too far away for ota
