The thing with that guy is he used a t56 with an atlas t case.....even if I had the money I wouldn't go that route

One of the guys here has some welding helmet glass rated at 14 so I got a quick glimpse of it starting

 

Dang. I had a pair of those eclipse shades just sitting in my truck for a while but I must've taken them out at some point... mildly disappointing. I wonder if I could just use my phone camera or something. Haha.

 

You might ruin your camera is what I've heard

 

buy a walmart phone or camera and no worries....

I'm working from home today, so a bunch of neighbors were outside and I bummed a pair off of them. Not the best but we know what it's suppose to be:

 

Depends on what time on Friday afternoon. 316 is always bad until you get to I-85 S. Then you catch traffic again on the Grady curve. When I lived in Monroe, I would head south through social circle, pick up I-20W and actually go right through town. It got bad on the west side from I-285 to Thornton Rd. Unless you have an aircraft expect delays. Now, if you get out of Athens around 2-2:30 your minimize delays.

Just My Humble Opinion

 

We watched the eclipse and it was pretty cool. Glad I didn't go to North Ga though...the commute back to the metro area was like 6 hrs. I know @dwalden2 was excited to have all those tourists up there.

But I agree would not be worth the drive unless it was in Totality

 

I work in Habersham which is straight up 985/365 from gainesville. Normally takes me 30 minutes to get there took me 1.5 hours yesterday

 

Took me 30 minutes both ways when it's anywhere from 40-60 minutes usually

Today it took me 45 minutes, hopefully it's not bad on the way home

 

These people were crazy. I'm around 45 mins from rabun. I was right in the middle, people everywhere.

 

For those in the metro area, y'all don't forget about the meetup tonight.
