I have a 2014 TRDO Dbl Cab with ARB Bull Bar, Winch, OBA,and Leer Cap.

25,000 miles and the front struts are shot from the 220lbs up front.

I want net 1" to 1.5" over factory and to support the weight. Old Man Emu 3" is out, don't want 3" and upper control arm correction.

Also do not want entire spring packs or a block in the rear. A functional AAL that acts as an overload leaf that nets me an inch back there would be great.

Money is not a problem. Prefer non remote reservoir setup. Prefer matching brand shocks front and rear.

Honestly I've read so much BS I'm blue in the face.

What front spring? What front shock/strut? What rear AAL?

265x75x16 BFG ATKO2's are in the immediate plans to replace factory tires.

Vehicle is used on OBX Beachs, used to tow tandem axle ultra low boy with kubota on it, for family camping/over landing trips, and to haul the dogs. No mud, no boulder dancing, and could possibly do a conservative canyon rim type trip where all bypasses and sneaks would be done. We have a JK4 door to beat up out there.

    What Spring?

    What Strut?

    What AAL?

    What Rear Shock?

Shocks are shot from 220lbs? I'm just asking because I've got a '15 dcsb and I weigh more than that and i'm at 40k miles, I don't have anything shot?

A few additions to make me feel cool.
With that weight OME is your best option. Run OME shocks all around with 885 coils and you will only get 1.5. For an AAL get the single leaf from toytec or the progressive pack from wheelers.

5100's severely limit down travel with 886 Coils or not?

Trying not to remove the entire factory rear spring pack if possible?

Too poor to list anything interesting.
The full OME kit has worked great for me. I have a front bumper with winch, and rear with a swing out.

886 coils, OME front and rear shocks.

Here's the thing about the AAL. I've had one on my truck, and the only constant weight I had back there was a hi-lift. The leafs were flat within a year and a half. If money is really not a problem, then I highly recommend looking at the full Dakar leaf packs. The constant weight of your cap + anything you put in there will make the truck nose high. The leaf pack swap isn't too bad.

So the OME guys don't think this is a good setup because the shock is not riding at it's designed ride height where the static valve location is at? Straight from Buddy's King's tech guys they don't recommend this?

I mean I don't care if it's $500 for $1500 but I don't want to buy and do shit twice to figure it out.

It is probably that you should upgrade the suspension before you add the weight and less the pot holes.

Dude I am an OME guy and you are right. I run 886's for that reason. You are asking for a lot. No one designs a 1" lift. Don't join yesterday and start educating everyone. You are asking for help not me!

My dream.... high quality (like ARB) lift weight (no more than plus 50lbs) rear bumper that uses factory hitch platform with swing out. Stuff I'm seeing is either low quality, does not preserve factory hitch, or is WTMF heavy!

Here are the Dakars under constant weight from the bumper.

IIRC, I believe you can take a leaf out of the Dakar to decrease the height in the rear.

You could do an icon stage 1 with standard travel coilovers, 700 lb springs set around 1-1.5" with matching rear shocks and Dakars in the rear and you're set.

If you go OME - the 886s are specifically designed for your ARB bar. Pairing them with 5100 works too. Again, Dakars.

^^^^ lol. I'm just asking man! It's a question.... I got a few answers I don't know if I believe yet or not. I own 9 Jeeps, 5 of which have exclusively OME or OME hybrid lifts and ARB bumpers are on everything except a plow Cherokee and a 2wd Comanche.... so They were the first people to talk to. Their response is what has sparked all of my in depth questions.

"Don't join yesterday and start educating everyone?" You said if your self Im asking for a lot....

I don't want 3" of lift. I don't want 2.5" of lift. All I want is the weight supported and a tiny boost to clear a cheaper common tire size that is a +.5 diameter.

Sounds pretty simple but as we're finding out it is not.

Can I just switch the spring on my factory shock?
