This is why I suggested a coilover like icon - you can adjust it to one inch of lift if that's all you want. The 700 pound spring will support the weight of the bumper.

If your shock is shot, no you can't just replace the spring and expect it to be ok. Not to mention a heavier spring will most likely be longer and your OEM shock doesn't have the travel to allow for that.

Honestly the ICON seams to be a very good option, pricey, but a good option. It's adjustability is amazing! Do you have these on your rig?

Yep. They're much better than stock. I have the extended travel so I had to replace my UCA.

Honestly this an a 3/4" block in the rear and done in an hour... I thought hard about trying this for it's price it should restore ride height... with the same ride quality I have now. This would allow me to clear the 265/75's that are badly needed, 4/32'ns on my rubber right now.

To stray from yellow is probably my biggest struggle... is that a broken part in the top left corner of this pic?

With everything you're doing replace the leaf packs. Single AAL is garbage and will kill the lifespan of your factory springs anyway (sounds like they're already killed). 3 AAL isn't terrible but if you plan on having your truck for a while you'll still end up having to replace the leafs or accept the flat springs. The Dakar packs will help with the weight and help you pulling a trailer as well. You can also remove a leaf when you're not hauling or towing a lot in the rear quite easily to retain ride quality. OME lift with the 886s will likely settle between 1.5" and 2.75" at the most so you won't have to replace the factory control arms and shouldn't have alignment issues.. You should be able to do all this for $900-$1200. If you really don't want the leafs, your best option is to get a 3 leaf AAL and add sumo spring bumpstops, but reality is you'd only save $100-$200 this route.

Take a look at this as it may be helpful:

    and this:

This is for my 3rd Gen but the specifications for the coils spring rates are accurate for your 2nd gen (I think):

Thank you so much for the shout-out @Juforrest :bananadance:

@ImpactAMS.com if you would like to go over some of your options please feel free to pm me. It can be hard to find something that will provide that amount of lift while still supporting the weight. Some people lean toward the OME 887 coils since they are taller they provide the lift but with the added weight they will settle down and provide less lift as a result. the 886's will provide around 2.5" of lift on a 05-15 double cab 4x4 running around 200lbs of additional up front weight. The higher lb spring rated coilovers can be adjusted down, preload removed, to a certain degree.

You definitely don't want 886s if you're only looking for 1-1.5" of lift. With 5100s set on zero and 886s my front end was lifted over 3" with about 200lbs of bumper/winch mounted.
