Has anyone swapped the passenger and drivers seat? The drivers side bolster is starting to wear. Are they interchangeable?

What year Tacoma do you have? Anything 09+ have airbags on the sides facing the vehicle exterior so that won't bode well if they are to deploy in an accident. Also the driver seat has different plugs/electronics than the passenger seat. Again most of this applies to 2009+ but I'm not sure if the passenger seat has a sensor in trucks prior to 09. Either way if that doesn't screw you up, then the seat mounts will. If I recall correct, they are side specific due to how they tuck in at the center hump near the center console area.

Too much of a headache, just get seat covers or buy some OEM seat covers of ebay and replace what's worn out.

Thanks. I was afraid of that. It is a 09. The seat is starting to show some wear and I need to keep the truck another year before I sell it. The truck is immaculate and I just want to prevent the seat wear before I sell it. I don't want to invest in covers.

Thank you much for the response.

A new OEM lower seat cover is about $250, but I guess you probably don't want to spend that much.

There was a thread on Costco seat covers that are currently on sale for I think $20.

Anyone know if the 3rd gen seats will bolt right up? I'm assuming so since it's basically the same cab.
