Ok don't bother using the LEDs I did for the brake lights. They work perfectly but the computer doesn't see the circuit load it should so it turned on my abs light for a fault. I will have to contact jumper for a set that has resistors

it's been a heck of a day. Lots of cars to fix, watched the eclipse, had to put my Doberman to sleep and bury him after work, and abs light came on while driving home (I put the halogen bulbs back in once I got home) and will have to clear the code in the morning.

Appreciate it brother. Hopefully tomorrow will turn out better:fingerscrossed:

On another note, I re-made the harness for the cb-radio power/ground. Used 16g wire instead of 14g, wrapped in mesh loom with heatshrink just like I did for the switch. Will probably install that this weekend. Which means the center console comes back out and pull up driver side carpet:oops: And I extended the ground cable this time because when it's grounded to the aux panel, it receives interference when any other accessory is turned on. So now I will probably ground it to the body to eliminate interference.IMG_3417.jpg

Almost every single light you've added to your truck will cause squelch on the CB. That cwrtain frequency of interference I guess. Gotta crank my knob way up when wheeling at night to hear people talking

@ChadsPride I just ordered a set of 2015 LED oem style tail lights from TYC. My dealer cost per oem tail was $160, and the TYC my cost is $104 each

    Pics to come soon!

I've seen those on here! They look sick af! lol I can always order those from Amazon, I would like to hear some people's input on them that are running em before pulling the trigger.

I don't mind having backup sets of tail lights (the ones I ordered just now):anonymous:

    Hoping to this Friday :fingerscrossed:

Have to pay the bills then budget everything out and see whats left for the truck

BUT, really wanting to get them

Tired of having my drivers side brake light act up

I think it has something to do with this shitty 3rd brake light Im running

It will sometimes throw the ABS light on the dash, AND AS SOON AS THAT HAPPENS THE BRAKE LIKE WONT WORK.

    Coincidence?

Part of the brake light circuit. This is what I got when I put those led bulbs in them yesterday. Turned on abs light. I swapped back in the halogen bulbs and cleared the code this morning. Which is why I ordered the new style tails with led brake lights lol

    Damn, thats a nifty device.

Hoping once I have my OEM modified 3rd brake light and some new tails is it will fix the issue

You think having LED 3rd brake light 'bulbs' will cause this also?

No it should all be strictly in the tail lights themselves for the brake light circuit (even though the center brake lights are tied into the brake light switch). I thought about the depo ones you have but I've seen many complaints across many diff vehicles with depo brand. And with your tail light intermittently not working, that will be your issue.

Also that's one of our many scan tools at the shop. They range in the low thousands for most of the ones we have.

Right on. Wish I had never sold me OEM tails honestly.

But, live and learn I suppose.
