I'm pretty sure my actuator is bad/stuck. Is it possible to disassemble it and repair it? I searched a while back but didn't find much.

you need to define "bad" actuator. I replaced both of my actuators this past winter diagnosing 4x4 issues. And previous poster is correct, there are dozens of front ADD replacement/issues treads here.

    PreRunner
Rear Elocker not working. Tried driving turning etc. Assuming it's bad/stuck. Light flashes.

Not since I bought it a few months ago. I've been sick, in and out of the hospital almost since I bought it.

I do this, and often it will still flash, and I've noticed that if I go ahead and put it in drive and let it roll forward just a bit it will usually lock up, and the light will burn steady. Sometimes it locks up right away, and more often I have to let it roll a a foot or two.

Finally recovered from surgery enough to get under the truck.
Took the actuator apart. It was corroded and seized. Pics are the before....
Cleaned everything and applied silicone grease in a couple of spots.
Engaged while on the stands. Test drive is next....
Now that 6 months (also how long I've owned the truck) of serious illnesses and multiple surgeries and hospital stays are behind me it's time to catch up on bills and get serious about progress on the Tacoma...

Glad i saw this, mine hasnt been activated EVER. Previous owner never used it and i bet mine looks exactly the same. Simple to remove the actuator and take it apart right?

    Pretty easy.
The brushes will come out, don't lose the springs! Make sure everything moves freely.
It doesn't cost anything to try it.
