    We all learn some way !!

    With the springs on backwards of course the drive shaft will be a little short .

    I did so many I can`t recall if I even removed the driveshaft if the complete axle housing was not being removed.

    Not sure how you did this first time for every thing

    Like others said, I think your springs are backwards. Look at the mis-match on the bumpstops.
    Luckily, when I put mine in, someone told me that they're different and to keep an eye on the orientation. So when I took my old ones off, I layed them next to the truck in the direction they came off, and put the new ones on the same way.
