Need help getting squared away

We all learn some way !!

With the springs on backwards of course the drive shaft will be a little short .

I did so many I can`t recall if I even removed the driveshaft if the complete axle housing was not being removed.

Not sure how you did this first time for every thing

 

Is that the slip yoke that just fell apart?

 

Like others said, I think your springs are backwards. Look at the mis-match on the bumpstops.
Luckily, when I put mine in, someone told me that they're different and to keep an eye on the orientation. So when I took my old ones off, I layed them next to the truck in the direction they came off, and put the new ones on the same way.

Some of us always get the Calipers on upside down no matter how many we have changed.
