Driver's Seat Piping Showing Thru

The enclosed photo shows a wear spot on my seat that I just noticed:


Are the seat backs on the driver's and passenger's seat identical and interchangeable?

If not, what might be a good solution to prevent further wear (short of just not driving the truck anymore.... )? The truck has 90,000 miles on it and is in excellent shape.

I am not sure if the backs are interchangeable because of the mechanism to fold them forward.

I would just take it to an upholstery shop and have it repaired.

EDIT: According to another member, The backs and bases are swap-able, however you cannot swap the base of the seats. You must swap the cushion frame/cushion for the bottom, and the entire back.
