Typically Toyota model year production starts in July. I was at the Georgetown plant in may and they were shutting down in the middle of June to switch all the tooling for the 18 Camry.
I got my 17 tacoma in sept last year..so the extension is a little abnormal for them

So leather if leather is now available on TRD Sport/OR's now, what colors are an option? I hope black, and not that hideous shade of brown.

Interesting. The way I'm reading it (and I could be interpreting wrong), is that OR's come with 245 tires unless you add the OF or OC packages. Then you get 265's

I think the delay to release the 18's in December is a good thing. They could be attempting to fix some issues. They could be scolding or firing suppliers for crappy parts and hiring new ones and trying to bring them up to speed.

No more TRD Pro as of now

Dont have pricing yet. Build sheet options may change in the next few days.

I only have the DC 4x4 models listed here but all other models are still available besides the TRD Pro

Not 100% sure if its getting it but according to the standard equipment listing it might be. The TRD OR list it as "Power Sliding Rear Window w/Privacy Glass" so its possible the SR5 is getting something different.

Trucks also look to be coming with LED taillights standard.

5th from bottom: "Tailgate/Rear Door Lock Included w/Power Door Locks"

Does this mean it will come with a power tailgate lock?

I too see many tacomas just sitting. I've been keeping an eye on two dealerships, both 2 hours away, and their inventory of Tacos just because they have the one(s) I want w/options I want. They've been there for a LONG time... longer than 29 days.

My local dealership has a manual trans one in desert sand (not my color) without the options I want... so I probably won't buy it... tut their inventory has stayed put also.

I'm getting itchy. I just sold my old car and have all the cash I need to make the purchase. I just really, REALLY want to wait for the '18's. I want leather and wouldn't mind the TSS stuff. Looking forward to a metallic black color too.

Its going to be the same thing. The Pop n Lock used to be a port installed option for SE region.

Oh, never mind then. Yes, I realize it was a port installed option. I thought the info you posted was showing factory installed stuff. My mistake.

The stuff i listed are standard options/equipment. I was saying the power lock is going to be the same, as in the style used so there will be no difference between the OEM and the Pop n Lock on the 2018 but the 2018 will probably have a different wiring harness going to the rear of the truck so the 2018 rear lock probably wont be compatible with the older years because of the wiring needed to splice.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Gotcha. I was just trying to say that there is sure to be someone who will ask about adding the OEM option to the current models because "OEM" even though it works the same as any other power lock.
