What is going on? This Tacoma is HORRIBLE!

I have over 40 years of driving experience and this may be the worst vehicle I have driven.
The transmission and engine synergy are appalling if not completely absent. I have had this thing into the dealer for all recommended upgrades, mods, downloads whatever they send down the pipe and it is still just crazy bad!
When I had it in last week the service people literally told me that this has been a monsterous issue and there is no fix in sight yet. WHAT!! This thing is a joke. I have tried every style of driving and it just remains horrible and I was a pro driver for a time so I get "sorting" issue's but, come on!! Had other trucks from other companies over the years and this Tacoma is hands down the very worst of the bunch!
Come on Toyota--you GOTTA be better than this. I have held off this long as to give the truck a chance but after 17,000 miles now--NOPE. Back to Honda/Ford/Chevy/Ram heck I don't know. But anything will be better than this. Its a freakin whiplash with 4 wheels. ALWAYS searching for gears, losing power on take off, bogging down due to upshifting when it should be downshifting etc......etc.......
Make me a believer Toyota!!
