I've been driving only since 2004 and I've already had more windshields replaced than i can count on one hand. Although most of them happened while I lived on a long dirt road. Glass coverage is a lifesaver.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
Drive a FJ Cruiser or a Jeep Wrangler or a Hummer H3. Pretty vertical windshields. My friends got tired of replacing them.

Funny this came up. I had a rock hit my windshield two times within a month's period. Just recently I had the first big chip fixed and then got hit with a second. I don't recall ever having this problem previously.

Once I was lucky on the interstate. Was traveling behind a truck pulling a horse trailer. The trailer hit a bump and a crescent wrench came from somewhere, bounced off the road and hit the top of my cab on my side. I can only imagine what might have happened if it had hit a foot lower.

Cracked windshields on the second gens are just one of the many 'upgrades' from the first gens. ;)
Eight hours of driving in two days, and almost every second gen Tacoma I passed had a crack in it's windshield. On one strip of I77 I passed three in a row.
