So you'll do the key and programming for $20? Is this only for lost keys or a service they offer?

No, depends on the contract locksmith. But as a 3a member you get a discount. I would call and ask for locksmiths phone number call him direct. It'll be cheaper. Toyota want 65 for a key for a first gen and . Local locksmith charged 2.50.

Have you looked online for the key blank? You can get them dirt cheap sometimes. And most Toyotas can only have 3 keys programmed. If you can get the blank, take to locksmith cut it and see what he charges to program. Or try the hat dance. Took my 4 tries to program my remote. But was free.

I doubt they'll make and program a key for 20 bucks. Not in California anyway.

It's strange they can only make you one for an '11. There isn't any electrical crap in there, so you probably could just tell them it's an '07 I guess. Don't quote me though ahah

I bought my '05 with one master and one valet key, then bought a chipped master key (with dot) on eBay for about $7. Tried to program it myself using various methods that work for some folks and don't for others, couldn't get it to work. I bought a Smart Key Maker programmer on eBay for $11 https://www.ebay.com/itm/322545001933 made in China, one try and I had another Master key! Very pleased with the results.

Note: I always use the valet key (gray) - you can always program another valet as long as you have a working master (has long as you're not maxed out in the ECM) but you can't use a Valet key to program another Master or valet key. I always keep one master in the safe.
