Haha, yeah the beds are super weak being made from composite and with sheet metal side panels. I've had quite a few of them come through with braces.

found this. but honestly i have no clue what i should be shopping for. kinda a bummer since we don't know if its just the float or the whole thing... should we attempt to drop the tank and take a look first? :notsure:

Dang those things are pricey, well best case scenario it would be a sticky float, that can hopefully be freed and work happily ever after, however getting to that float isnt the easiest thing ever, but with a very low fuel level in the tank it would make it less cumbersome so I dont have to contend with sloshing fuel.
But if it isnt that then its almost good to have one on standby in case it needs to be installed, make sense? Thats if it wasnt terribly difficult to return!

I cleaned all the connections to the actual dash from the harness and even used some really expensive contact enhancer on all plugs. Im guessing either a wire or maybe even the sender failing, I think we should replace the sender and see if that works rather than trying to chase a possible intermittent connection which can be very hard to find.
It needs to be the sender for the gauge not the ECU, there are 2 temp sensors.
